| Our
Design Process
Step 1: Set up an appointment to discuss the project
When you Call Frontier Deck Builders, you can expect to
receive a return call within 24 hours. If you are just inquiring
about a ballpark estimate, we will try to provide it immediately.
If you wish to set up an appointment, we will schedule one as quickly
as possible.
Step 2: Meet and Discuss Project
Being prompt and courteous does not insure a well designed or well
built deck but it certainly conveys an attitude and level of professional
behavior and responsibility.
There are many factors that go into the design of a deck or screen
porch: the design / style of the house; the size of the yard; the
scale and proportion of the deck to the house and yard; entertainment
and use expectations; connection to and with future projects; and
budget, just to name a few. Our goal is to provide you with a design
(or designs) that take all of these elements into account, is as
aesthetically pleasing as possible, and allows you a variety of
options.
Step 3: Present Proposal
Whether by appointment, fax, or mail, FDB endeavors to return all
proposals within a week of first meeting. The options on our proposals
are listed separately where possible to allow you choice. Design
work is computer aided, so editing, when necessary, is typically
returned in a matter of days.

Our Contract
& Construction Process
When you decide to hire FDB as your deck contractor, first and
foremost, “Thank you!” We will always work hard to insure
that you are 100% satisfied, and that the completed project is “better
then you dreamed it would be.”
Step 1: Contract
Simple. Direct. Uncomplicated. The whole process should take 5-10
minutes, and from that point on, should be a turnkey operation for
you, the homeowner. A signature, a copy of the plot plan of your
home, and a minimal deposit starts the process.
Step 2: What you should expect during construction
a)
Any and all questions will be handled promptly.
b) Job-site will be thoroughly swept and straightened
up at the end of each work day
c) Once started, FDB will be on the job till completion,
with no interruption.
Step 3: Construction Process
Though there are certainly many exceptions, the typical deck should
take two to five days to build.
a) FDB acquires permit
b) 2-3 days notice of construction start
c) Footings dug, inspected, poured, and lumber
delivered
(First Draw due - 1/3 of total)
d) Deck framed
(Second Draw due - 1/3 of total)
e) Decking, railing, stairs, and all extra options
- Deck Completion & Final Inspection (Balance due upon completion)
All projects are completed in a workmanlike, professional,
and thoroughly competent manner by skilled, experienced craftsmen
who take tremendous pride in their work.
